Ok...here's one of the big days.  We went in for the big ultrasound.  First & foremost, everything was ok.  The baby looks healthy.  Man oh man was that stressful.  I was freaking out inside the whole time just praying that she would be healthy.  "She," you ask?   Yep - SHE.  We found out that day that we are having a little girl.  The worst part was definitely worrying about the health.  Heather was freaked out too but handled it much better than me.  She acted almost normal.  I didn't!  : )

Then after that, the fact that it was a girl set in.  Oh crap!  I started freaking out for all different reasons.  Mainly boys...  Damn, damn, damn...  What are we going to do?  Even nice girls & women that I know (and are in my family) end up going out with stupid, bad boys...and yes..even sleeping with them.  Damn, damn, damn!!!  What am I going to do?  Actually I got myself all worked up already getting way to into the protective father mode.  I got to the point where I really felt like I was ready to get in a fight.  Stuart didn't help by laughing...the rotten thing.  So we talked about going out & buying matching shotguns & chastity belts so at least I'll have some company.  I do have a new mantra though.  It's: "wedding night, wedding night, wedding night, wedding night..."  Think that'll work?  Damnit...probably not.  What about a convent in Budapest until 23???  Nah I'm doomed.  Doomed to see our little girl with scoundrels like I know & hang out with.  Sigh...

Ok, enough blabbering...new pictures for you.  You can definitely see her starting to take shape...face & girl parts & everything.  Stuie's digitizing our video of the ultrasound so I'll post that as soon as I get it from him.

You can see she has a little button nose.  I'm hoping it's a hook nose so she's not too cute & the boys don't flock to her.  Actually we don't have super incredible images.  That's because she is a very, very wriggly girl.  She was squirming all over & wouldn't quit moving.

You can click on any of the images below for a bigger picture.

Here's the photo of doom...   Doomed to a life of overprotective fatherhood & constant worry about boys.  :)

Ok...bonus for you.  By now (actually it was 1/2/04 I think), Heather & I have come up with a name for our little girl to be.  It will be Marina Grace Lee.  Hope she likes it!  I tried Gertrude Brunehilda Lee with Heather in hopes that it might scare the boys off but she wouldn't have it.

Here's a little bit of her face from straight on.

Getting bigger...  If you click on the pictures below, they will take you to a bigger scan.
You can almost see a face in the one on the left.

We could definitely see him/her moving...kicking his/her feet & it almost looked like waving his/her hand!  :)

Very neat...
